Creating an upcycled garden shed with old windows, salvaged wood, and more.
The love of gardening is a seed once sown that never dies. – Gertrude Jekyll
Have you been on pins and needles waiting for another #ssmfeatureme (Salvage Sister & Mister Feature Me)?
You are going to LOVE today’s upcycled project from Lori at Vintagethruthyme on Instagram.
Here’s Lori with a little of her upcycled garden shed story:
“I have always wanted to build a shed to store my gardening tools and have my own little space to enjoy. I’ve collected windows and found a set of French doors after a year-long search.”
“After finding a downed barn, I asked the owner if we could buy some of the wood. He kindly obliged and said we could take all we want. My husband and I removed all the nails and put the wood through a planer.”
“Rusty tin was also used for the roof. The end result turned out beautifully!”
And this is why we do what we do! We love seeing that with a little dedication, and time, you can make something you want….something unique…something inexpensive.
A BIG thank you to Lori at Vintagethruthyme on Instagram.

Yes, a she shed 🙂
Your garden shed turned out beautiful! I have always wanted my own garden shed, mine alone. The one we have is full if lawnmowers, pool supplies, etc. I want one just for my gardening tools, pots, planters etc. I’ll just keep dreaming, and maybe one day I’ll get one.
