Taking a day trip to the annual tulip festival at Wooden Shoe Farm in Oregon.
The tulip’s petals shine in the dew, all beautiful, but none alike. -James Montgomery
Well, the last few weeks have been a bit stressful over here.
What better way to relieve stress than a field trip to a Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm in Woodburn, Oregon for their annual Tulip Festival!
The farm is about 3 1/2 hours from our home in Southern Oregon. We decided to do a day trip to save hotel costs. (It’s about 45 minutes from Portland and 30 minutes from Salem.)
It proved to be just the break we needed. There is nothing like enjoying God’s creation to reset and move forward.
Sometimes the best thing to do is just breathe. Turn off all the things that “needs” to be done and take in life.
This above tulip reminded me of a cabbage. I loved seeing a different variety even if it did have some dirt on it. Just like us, we are all different, beautiful in our own ways, and if you look close enough-need a little cleaning.
The farm has over 40 acres of all different varieties of tulips and on a clear day, you can see Mount Hood in the background.
Our day was bright and beautiful.
If you go to the festival, be sure to check the weather as it is Oregon and all. Oh, boots would be a wise choice.
Sometimes we all just need a reset button.
We highly recommend taking advantage of the moments and events in your area. And feel free to let us know what your area is known for. Maybe one day we will get there.
