Welcome back ya salvagers!!!
There are all sorts of Christmas themes:
- Modern
- Country
- Patriotic
- Victorian
- Rustic
- AND SALVAGED (upcycled, thrifted, flea market, using what you got!!!)
In our first post we shared our living room and a $20 Christmas tree transformation. Today we are sharing the rest of our home. We like to keep things fairly simple so you have more time with family and friends. In fact, it is almost as controversial as the election, but it’s why we decorate early.
DINING ROOM:
You may remember we used this wood tool caddy before in our fall décor. When you have a statement piece, you can change it up simply for each season. The pumpkins were changed out to ornaments for a quick/easy centerpiece.
KITCHEN~
During our first years, when there was zipo money for Christmas, you make your decorations …..paper and popcorn garland, paper stockings, etc. This garland, above our panty, is the one from all those years back. Such great memories held in that little garland.
A hot cocoa/tea station using an old punch bowl that was given to us. And a vintage Santa mug from a yard sale.
HALL/BEDROOM~
Sprigs are one of the easiest ways to add a little festive touch.
The duvet cover was a bargain from H&M, a pillow from a discount store, and a wreath from Goodwill.
We found a great plaid Christmas duvet set HERE.
FAMILY ROOM ~
The Merry Christmas sign was made from a cabinet door front found at the ReStore. The Joy sign was made from scrap and it’s reversible….the back has FALL on it…DOUBLE DUTY!
Here are some similar type items~
This pillow was a score from Goodwill.
We appreciate you coming along on our salvaged Christmas home tour.
Remember it’s not how much you spend, or all the tubs in storage, or even what your home looks like..it’s the time you spend with those you love!
