- ROAD TRIP- Eugene, OR (Part 1)
- ROAD TRIP- Eugene, OR (Part 2)
Welcome back! If you didn’t see Part 1 to our Road Trip to Eugene, you don’t want to miss out so you can read it here.
After a good night’s rest, we got up ready to start the day.
Tip – When staying at a hotel, use the stuff they give you! You paid for them!
*Did we hear you right? You don’t like the hotel shampoo? No use for a shower cap? No problem! Use up those HOTEL FREBBIES another way HERE!
We got all packed up and headed out for breakfast.
4 wonderful words!
The Original Pancake House
There was an Original Pancake House by our home in Phoenix a few years back. For whatever reason, it closed. It wasn’t because of the food, we can tell you that. Plus, it was ALWAYS busy. Isn’t it weird when a popular place closes? Maybe rent issues???? Anyways….
The Mister liked their Dutch Apple Pancake so thought it would be fun to take him here as a surprise.
And the Strawberry pancakes are made, wait for it, with REAL STRAWBERRIES! No syrup stuff here. The real deal! And so is the whipped cream and OJ. Seriously, it’s a good thing we don’t live closer. Please, Please, Please tell us you will go here if you get a chance!
*Can you tell a bite was already taken out? Couldn’t wait!
After a full belly, yet again, exercise was in order.
We drove over to the river walk, with a side detour to the Thrift Store. We found a patio table that we wished we would have bought!
Drive up to Skinner Butte, there was a beautiful view of Eugene…..
and then we walked down to the river via the trail….
and saw the water and an “Oregon Duck” (shout out to Duck Fans!).
There is more to our adventure so come on back! It will be worth it, cause an interesting thing that happened on our way back home. Curious?
*And if you want to know how we can take this one night trip into a saga, it’s simple…..we pack in as much as possible. We salvage every last minute 🙂
I loved your comment about packing. I have my husband convinced that it takes as much to stay to three days as it does a month. I just bring it all! 🙂
