“You ever look for the remote control, but you can’t find it, so you just decide, “Ah, guess I’m not watching TV. I’m not gonna take two steps and turn it on myself. I’ll go to the gym if I’m going to work out.”

REPURPOSED REMOTE CONTROL HOLDER

First world problems, I know, but it can be a pain to lose that magic little gadget…the remote control.
For example, back when we were first married, we had a remote control accidentally get tossed. We believe it got caught up in the newspaper and we noticed a little too late. UGH!!!! After that, we’ve been more careful about where we place the remotes.
Creating a space to organize them doesn’t have to be complicated. For instance, this vintage sewing drawer fit my style perfectly. You just need to look at the area you will place it and find something that you love…think outside the box.
Today, we are joining our fellow Thrifty Style Team to show our thrifted items in action.
|DID YOU SEE OUR THRIFTED DRESSER TURNED TV CONSOLE?|
This drawer was taken from a hodge podge repurposed night stand, purchased from a thrift store, we no longer use. We took it apart for the pieces to be used individually (it was wonky/quirky to begin with).
If you are looking for a drawer, you can try your local thrift/antique stores or you can try here.
Since the vintage drawer has extra space, a little plant, in a thrifted enamel mug, was added for decor purposes.
Now, not only does this repurposed remote control holder keep the remotes handy, but it’s also a great place for a pen/pencil, readers, and any other small items you might need to keep track of….in one place.
MORE THRIFTED GOODNESS:
Finally, we hope you will join us in checking out all the amazing projects from the other Thrifty Style Team ….
I don’t have a drawer, but a tool tote in the family room as a remote holder. Problem is I’m the only one who uses it!
That would work perfectly.
I love these little drawers! They’re the perfect size for that wandering remote!!

What a brilliant way to repurpose this gorgeous drawer!! We need something like this…(especially for the pesky Alexa remote that LOVES to disappear, lol!) Thanks for a fabulous idea–I’m going to keep my eyes out for one of these beauties the next time I am out thrifting! Always fun teaming up with you and the other ladies! xoxo
Thank you Kristi. I hope you find one! You’d think alexa could find her own remote…lol
Such a simple solution to a problem that most everyone has! We keep ours in a little caddy but I never touch the thing! I’m always on the lookout for those drawers, though, because they can be used in so many ways!
I agree, there are so many options for them. They’re just perfect.
i just ove this idea however my hubby always has the remote ….so I know where it’s at.
Too funny Laura. And thank you.
The perfect spot for the remote!!! Genius! And I didn’t even know Alexa had a remote LMAO
Thank you Julie! Haha…I don’t have an Alexa either so I didn’t know that as well
This is a fab idea! Your sewing drawer is so pretty too. We currently have a drawer and we use it to display and hold cutting boards.

I love that style of old drawer! They come in so handy for storing things. I have a metal drawer in that same size that I use to hold wine bottles.
I agree..they really do come in handy!
That’s a beautiful old drawer. I remember those old pedal sewing machines. Great repurposing.
Loving this idea so much!! Pinning for later…. 🙂
