{Salvage Sister}
Growing up in Chicago, we didn’t have as much fresh produce as I experienced after I moved to the West Coast. Maybe it was the part I grew up in, but I didn’t even know you could make fresh cranberry sauce.
But I know now!!!
Ohhhhhh yummy!
Another discovery along the cranberry road….CRANBERRY RELISH!
I wish I knew the original source of this recipe, but it’s just something I have learned along the way.
I love the sweet and tartness of this cranberry relish.
If you like sweet and sour candies, you will probably like this.
This cranberry relish is super quick, less than 10 minutes, to whip up in a food processor. You can also keep it in the refrigerator up to 1 week which makes it great to do ahead as we talked about in Prepping for you Holiday Meal.

*If your food processor can’t hold all the ingredients, just do it in batches and combine.
It’s also a great item to bring to someone’s home, as it doesn’t require an oven. As we discussed HERE.
This recipe just says “Christmas”.
What is your favorite holiday recipe?
- 3 cups fresh cranberries
- 2 apples Whatever variety you prefer.
- 1 orange
- 2/3 cup sugar At most. Start with 1/3 and add as needed.
- Wash apples and orange in warmish water. Remove any stickers and stems.
- Core apples and quarter.
- Cut orange in quarters (with skin on).
- In a food processor, add all ingredients and blend 2-4 min.
Fresh cranberries are the BEST!
Oh yes! I love them. Thanks for visiting Collette!
