Pod Container Pumpkin Centerpiece
I’d rather have flowers on my table than diamonds on my neck. – Emma Goldman
When I saw these detergent pod containers, I instantly thought of a pumpkin. Wouldn’t anyone? I just knew I would need to find one to make a fun pod container pumpkin centerpiece with it.
So what do I do?
I took it to Facebook and asked my friends if anyone had a pod container they weren’t using. I thought I would have one in no time but nope! Hmm, no one is using these?
Well, it turns out my friends thought I needed a STORAGE pod container 🤣. Yeah, does anyone have an extra huge storage container I can have? No wonder people didn’t respond. After that was all cleared up I was given one to do my pod container pumpkin centerpiece with.

SUPPLIES
*We use affiliate links that will share the exact or similar product used. You can read our full disclosure policy here.
- DETERGENT Pod Container (Tide is the orange one)
- Adhesive Cleaner
- Glue Gun and a stand helps so much
- Paper Towel
- Paint ( I used this orange, this green, black, and white)
- Floral Foam (if fresh flowers)
- Flowers (real or artificial)
INSTRUCTIONS
- Remove the top part of the lid. I kept the ring around the lid so that it would keep its roundness.
- Peel off label.
- In a well-ventilated area take a paper towel with adhesive cleaner and rub over the residue left behind. (If you are using a different laundry brand, the label might not have the same adhesive.)
- Using a glue gun, I added pumpkin lines with twine.
- Next, I painted some darker spots near the lines and lighter in the middle – blend as you go and never rinsed my brush. I just kept adding color and blending from dark to light.
- Add flowers and arrange as desired. If you use real, I would recommend floral foam at the bottom. Here is another use for artificial flowers.
SALVAGE TIP– When using a paper towel and the adhesive cleaner, you will want to let it dry before throwing away (outside) so you won’t have a fire issue. Please be sure to follow all warning labels on the products used.
