Is it too late in the game for a Christmas craft?
For the people who may not have everything done…….
this one’s for you!
A couple of weeks ago, I participated in an ornament exchange.
This cute little owl ornament was made just with items around the home….SALVAGE STYLE!
Table of Contents
Step 1:
-
Find a corrugated box. Cut out two circles. One will be the body and the other the wings.
Step 2:
-
Cut the wing circle in half and remove the top layer of paper so the corrugated ridges show through. This should peel off easily. Cut off any ridges or extra paper that you don’t want.
Step 3:
-
Glue the wings to the body.
-
Cut out two ears and glue them to the back.
Step 4:
-
Glue 2 bottle caps for eyes
Step 5:
-
Find and glue two buttons inside the bottle caps
Step 6:
-
This is the top of an apple die cut but you can just use construction paper for the beak
Step 7:
-
Glue leftover ribbon on back for a hanger
Step 8:
-
Glitter the wings and ears
so cute! I did one a few years ago for the girls…one owl and one frog. I just realized I never blogged this…I will have to do it.
Kirstin recently posted…Reduce, Reuse, Recycle: Wood Beverage Coasters
Kirstin..how fun. Did you do a blog post on them? I would love to see your frog.
That is really cute! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you Pat. He was fun to make.
