Philippians 4:11-13New International Version (NIV)
11 I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. 12 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. 13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.
These verses pretty much sum up our view and philosophy. Making the most with what we got is really about recognizing the blessings that we have and utilizing them to the fullest.
We share with our children often, if we can’t hold precious to the blessings God has already given us, why would He entrust us with more? We hope that we show our children that we are grateful no mater where we are and with how much we have, for God is with us no matter what!
