Soooooooo, how long does a room challenge take?????
Back in January, Donna from Funky Junk Interiors, did a Heap of Change Challenge to organize/clean up an area.
CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!
The craft room was going to take this challenge…..back in January!
**If you would like to see the scary before pics, you can go HERE……..Warning, it’s not for the faint of heart. REALLY BAD!Well, it’s May……..what happened?
Since we were also working on the family room, that was not the best time to decide to work on the craft room as well. This particular room just happens to be the sunroom right off of the family room so EVERYTHING got dumped in there!!!!
Ever have that feeling of being completely overwhelmed and not sure where to start? YEAH, that’s where this room was (and then some)!
Don’t know about you, but there is nothing like knowing there will be tons of people coming through the house for our son’s graduation to really kick things into gear.
Anyone else?
And 5 months, there is a working room!!!
This desk was The Mister’s grandparents table/desk. His grandfather built it and his grandmother used as her desk until she recently went into an assisted living facility and couldn’t take it with her.
Most items from Goodwill, thrift stores, The ReStore, or just random stuff around.
This caddy was a ReStore find and with some old mason jars lying around works perfectly to organize different items.
There aren’t many new items in this room, but this is one of them. This IKEA cart SCREAMED to take it home, so we did!
OHHHHH, this cabinet. It was The Mister’s Grandfathers (on the other side). It was in the garage after he passed and guess who wanted it?
The large picnic basket hanging was from Target. They had these hanging in the store and you never know until you ask…right? Yep, they gave it away after they were done with it!
This scale was from an estate sale and is perfect in here!
And do you notice more picnic items?
Yep…mighty collection with the tins being a favorite.
When we were in Arizona, which you can read more about HERE, Goodwill was on our list to hit. And hit it we did! This basket was a great find at $8 and it works great to hold the wrapping paper.
The cabinet (that needs dusting) was again built by The Mister’s grandfather and has GLASS KNOBS!
This chalkboard, plus the backyard view, makes for great inspiration while creating.
Yep, more picnic baskets!
Can we talk for a moment about the auto parts bin from the ReStore? OH WOW! It is so great to help with organizing but one of the greatest things about it is the labels that are on it. Some labels are from the click and press label makers. Anyone remember those? If you didn’t press hard enough it didn’t work.
The cabinet is from IKEA and we brought that with us when we moved.
The binders have small strips of scrapbook paper in the end to make them more beautiful. Easy change!
