Our upstairs game room design inspiration board.
What’s important to me is to share, and being inspired, and inspiring. – Diane Von Furstenberg
One of the first things you hear about in real estate is LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!
When we purchased our home a couple of years ago, it was strictly due to location and our budget. And while we love our neighborhood, our home…let’s just say it is dated!
One of the fun items to our house was an addition over the garage (which is the most up to date part of the house). We have two teens boys so PERFECT GAME ROOM…RIGHT?
In theory, that is what we wanted……. but in reality………. it has been a catch-all. Since we had to move so quickly, we both work, and there are so many projects….this room has been neglected.
Do you remember the scene from The Incredibles when Mrs. Incredible called to say that the last box had been unpacked after 3 years? Yeah, we can relate. But the boxes have finally been cleared and we are ready to get working on this room….before the boys leave home.
We are looking forward to seeing how this room evolves.
Since we are on a tight budget, this GAME ROOM MAKEOVER will be on a dime…or a quarter if we are feeling good.

Deborah, it’s going to be amazing, I know it! I wish we had such a large space to dedicate as a game room in our home. The one that came with our home isn’t too large, and so we turned it into the entertainment room instead. It’s working, but boy I would have loved even more space to do so much more with! I can’t wait to see what you have been up to this week!
Iris, Thanks girl! I totally understand. We lived in a just under 1400 sq ft home for most of our kids lives. By the time this is finished, with the budget the way it is, I am not sure the kids will still live at home hahahaha.
