Dried Orange Peel Soap Recipe
The smell of an orange relieves stress. Smelling an orange or eating one can reduce stress by over 70%.
I should be the least stressed out person on the planet then 🙂
I think my love affair with oranges began as a baby. Don’t tell anyone but my mom use to put orange soda in my baby bottle. That’s what happens when you are the last of five children. In high school, I use to drive to the store and buy a case of oranges. And to really get crazy, there are times when I can eat just a bit of peel from a good orange. Yep, I’m a little crazy about oranges.
You don’t have to be that crazy to love this dried orange peel soap recipe. It is a great way to reuse peels or oranges that have dried up a bit.

DRIED ORANGE PEEL SOAP INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1: Add clear soap to your measuring cup. Melt the soap in the microwave at 30-second bursts until soap is completely melted.
Steps 2-4: Add soap colorant and orange essential oil to measuring cup. Whisk together. If you want a darker color, add another drop or two.
Steps 5-6: Add dried orange peel to the measuring cup. Whisk ingredients together.
Steps 7-9: Spray your soap mold with the rubbing alcohol. This prevents bubbles from forming. Pour the soap mixture into the mold until it just covers the bottom of each cavity. Spray top of the mixture with rubbing alcohol to prevent bubbles.
Steps 10-12: Allow to harden for about 15 minutes. Place one orange slice in each cavity and add the soap mixture to the top of each cavity. I would stir the mixture in the measuring cup each time you pour, or they will clump at the bottom. Spray top of the mixture with rubbing alcohol to prevent bubbles.

Step 13: Dry for at least 3-4 hours or until hardened completely. To release, pop gently from the mold. Store in an airtight container or Ziploc bag until ready to use.
