Recently I was at a thrift store, okay I’m there a lot, and came upon this cute little galvanized bucket for $1.00. Ummmm, yeah….I’ll take that off your hands!

Now the label isn’t really my style but farmhouse is.
I could have spent a while trying to scrape it off, or tried the trick I used here on this canister, but I thought it would be fun (and easy) to add some pieces of scrap burlap to it.
What is more farmhouse than burlap and galvanized metal, right?

FARMHOUSE BUCKET SUPPLIES

- Galvanized bucket
- Burlap (you could even use burlap ribbon if you have that)
- Glue/Glue Gun
- Stencil
- Craft paint – white
- Foam paintbrush
BUCKET MAKEOVER INSTRUCTIONS
- Cut a strip of burlap, to the desired size, and fray the edges a bit.
- Attach the burlap patch with a hot glue gun to the bucket
- The burlap was painted with a stencil ( No.3) and then added a plant.
All the supplies I had so it didn’t cost me anything other than the $1.00 thrift store bucket.

Can’t go wrong with burlap. That looks so much better! I have a couple similar buckets, and their not my style either. I may dig one out and add some burlap.
