“Salvage Sister, Salvage Sister, All I hear is Salvage Sister
From the moment that I get up,
Till shades of night are falling
There isn’t any let up
I hear the base boards calling
Get the paint off the bottom and sand them like you should have
You knew better, Salvage Sister!”
This Salvage Sister was feeling a little like the “before” Cinderella today. You know the hands and knees floor scrubbing princess. This is WAY before the ball.
When we moved into the house, we had grand plans. One of which was to paint base boards. Not sure we really even made the decision but one thing led to another and base boards got tagged.
Needless to say, we were not going to get to these base boards anytime soon, if at all, so the paint needed to come off. And honestly, it wasn’t done right as we needed to sand it first.
Since it was primer, nothing seemed to get it off but a finger nail. YAHOOO! Fun times! As this was being done, a message came through from one of my former cooking students, Katie.
She and a friend got creative from a DIY on Pinterest. Seriously, she found my missing slippers-
Here’s the Tutorial if you would like to turn your pumps into Cinderella’s slippers.
Time to get back before I turn into a pumpkin.
