Have you ever felt like things are so crazy you have no time for anything? Of course, many people can probably relate. No time to go out with your spouse, friends, or even free time. We understand!
Moving, moving again, new jobs, lay-off/applying for new jobs, and as many projects, as you can imagine, leaves us with little time. But sometimes you need a little fun and take opportunities when they come.
The Mister had the afternoon off and kids were in school = Date Lunch!
All the projects will still be there right? They aren’t going anywhere.
Funds being limited we could just go fast food, but we like good food. Hmmm, what to do?
We like to visit local eats. And sometimes it can be cheaper than fast food.
We went to a sandwich shop here in town, Luigi’s for some cheap eats. YUMMMMMMY
For $11 we split a large Garbage Grinder. And really we could have spent less, but we splurged and got two sodas. We split the enormous sandwich and had PLENTY of food!!!
That’s just a half. The Mister has the other half!
Here are a few ways to find some cheap eats in your local area.
1) Ask! Ask friends, neighbors, people you meet at a party. If fact, it’s a great party conversation cause who doesn’t like to talk about food?
3) Just try something. As Yoda would say “Scary this can be!” If you want to try something, but are afraid, go with the parking lot test. If there are lots of cars during lunch/dinner time, that’s a good sign. If there are cars even in off times, even better. Go where there are people.
What’s your favorite local place? Please share name and city/state.
BTW- If you get to Southern Oregon, go to Luigi’s!
