Turning a plain clay pot into an old gem is easy with these easy tutorials. Here are 15 ways to DIY age terracotta pots.
This is so true for me. I don’t really like new things. I just love the uniqueness and character that comes from old stuff. Unfortunately, that now comes with a price. Sure you can get lucky and pick up an old piece on the cheap now and again but the rest of the time it can get expensive.
To get that old aged look, sometimes I have to DIY it.
Recently, I tried my hand at some DIY aged terracotta techniques. Even though some of these used similar materials, each one has a unique look.
Although there are some that are my favorites (shh, don’t tell the others), I think having a variety really gives a lot of texture and a unique aspect to it.
So, are you ready to try some?
Salvage Tip – Remember, you can pick up clay pots new or even at yard sales or thrift stores. If you do buy new, you may want to scratch off the coating with a little sandpaper first.
