Attention Thrift Store Shoppers……..
Today’s blue light special…….. ladders for only $5!
DIY blanket ladders are super popular in home décor however it’s a little ironic that most build one when you can just ….wait for it….buy an actual wood ladder..hehehehe. Bonus, ladders can be repurposed into many other items as well.
If you have been around here for awhile, you know we love thrift stores! One particular one we support often is the Habitat for Humanity ReStore.
They often have old wooden ladders that are reasonably priced at $5. You can often find these rickety ladders at yard sales and other thrift stores as well.
Now, all that’s needed are some blankets and a little décor.
These blankets were found at, you guessed it, the thrift store.
The lanterns, and some of the pumpkins, also found at thrift stores.
Are you sensing a theme here? You betcha ya! #thriftstoreadicts
Bada-bing, bada-boom, you can’t get much simpler than that with this thrifted blanket ladder.
Side Note – Decorating with meaning is so important to us. The plate was from the church Salvage Sister’s father was a Pastor at. The cabinet is from The Mister’s mom’s hubby- it was from his family. The painting was made by a local artist that is of an area The Mister spent weekends at, in his childhood and teens. The clock was a wedding present. Don’t forget to fill your home with things that have meaning to you!
If you have a ladder upcycle project, we would love to see it. Feel free to share it on our Facebook Page, HERE!
