Recently, we were challenged by our friends at Wayfair to “Plant Outside the Box”. Think of other things that can be repurposed as planters. Did someone say repurpose? Ahhh yeah, that’s right up our alley.
Anyone who’s been on our site knows, we think there is nothing better than using what you have to achieve what you are looking for. Ran out of planters? What could you use instead?
- DUTCH OVEN/POTS AND PANS
- MASON JARS
- TEA POT
- AND ON AND ON
Really, it’s only limited by your imagination right?
(Using a Dutch Oven)
Even though it has a wonderful non-stick coating, we didn’t want it to get damaged so we lined it with plastic. We then filled it with some dirt and succulents. Some rocks and moss were added to the top to fill in gaps.
This is a great way to use up some items in your kitchen that are no longer getting used in their original form.
If you don’t have a Dutch Oven, you can either use something else in your home, or be on the lookout at your local thrift stores or a yard sale.
Now, we are always learning from our readers….
